Cooking demonstration donated to support the Oakville Literacy Council

Impress your friends and family with a cooking demonstration by Taste of Melody!  A professional chef will prepare a gourmet meal in your own kitchen! You will learn professional tips and enjoy delicious cuisine, expertly paired with wine suggested by your very own personal chef.   On September 1st, we were proud to launch this unique and highly entertaining service, perfect to add a little something special to your holiday celebration!

On October 27th we will be pleased to donate a Cooking Demonstration for up to four people as part of a silent auction held to support the Oakville Literacy Council. The auction will be held at the Council’s Halloween BOOster Bash at Boston Pizza, Dorval, an event that includes a buffet dinner, door prizes and a 50-50 draw. Please join us in supporting the Council’s free, personalized tutoring for adults in reading, writing, and math. Tickets are just $25 and can be purchased at www.oakvilleliteracy.ca.

You will learn professional tips and tricks, and will be treated to scrumptious fare as the night unfolds.  Grace your pallet with delicious wine pairings suggested by your personal chef.   We are now launching this unique and highly entertaining service, perfect to spice up your next dinner party!

On September 17th we will be pleased to donate a Cooking Demonstration for up to four people as part of a silent auction held to support work by John and Janet Reynolds with Aroland First Nations.  The fundraiser will be held at Niblick’s Pub, Upper Oakville Place Plaza, Upper Middle Road and Eighth Lineat 8 p.m.  Admission is $10/person or $15/couple.  The event includes live music by band, The Daily Howl.  For more information about John and  Janet Reynolds and their important work, please visit http://peopleservingpeople.ca/. We had a great time at Arts in the Square this past Saturday!  There have been some excellent musical acts and vendors selling fresh local produce.  Talented artists have included vendors featuring jewellery, hand made accessories, paintings and many more fascinating items.  My heart almost stopped when I saw the two little girls who were painted up just like zombies!

We enjoyed the musical soundings of Zoe Grant and Marty Rouleau.  Our menu included a delicious Pork Tandoori and our famous Gypsy Burger.  Please come by and visit us this Saturday at Kerr Street’s Heritage Square for more scrumptious eats.

Taste of Melody will be featuring a new line of herbs, spices and rubs as giveaways to visitors to our station at Arts in the Square, this Saturday, June 25th on Kerr St. The line will include a Provencal Herb, a Latin Spice, a Cajun Spice and our very own Steak Rub. We have had a lot of fun creating these for you and hope that you will have the chance to come out and pick up your own spice, herb or rub. We will be posting some great recipes to try. Stay tuned!
